Ounasvaara Sled Track is a very exciting way to descend the huge hill landscape. The scenery lift also takes you down, in case you just want to enjoy the fantastic view.
The sled track is safe. Everyone is of course allowed to choose his or her own speed. In the case of rain, the run is closed because of safety reasons.
The lookout lift takes you up to the hill to enjoy the beautiful scenery of Ounasvaara and Rovaniemi.
The super-popular summer bobsleigh track on the Ounasvaara hill is a great destination that you do not want to skip. The destination is so breathtaking, that you will want to visit it every summer over and over again. First, a safe chair lift down below the slope at Ounasvaara Ski Centre takes you up to the top of the hill. There you will witness what a magnificent view spreads out.
The track is actually a 750-meter-long chute made of steel. It begins there at the height of 110 meters. Do you know how to use a bobsleigh? If not, do not worry, a member of the staff will show you how to use them – either one- or two-man – bobsleigh properly. The summer bobsleigh activity is suited for everybody, mostly because it is a very safe activity since one can very easily control the speed of the bobsleigh by using the brake. Open daily from 11 a.m to 5 p.m.
For many years, summer visitors have known Ounasvaara for its toboggan run. The area will offer significantly more with the scenic lift, the Bike Park mountain bike center, the children’s pedal car track, the Kesärafla BBQ kitchen and public sauna, the stand-up paddle (SUP) board and rowing boat rentals, the 18-hole frisbee golf course, and the 18-hole Santa Claus Golf course.
