Ice fishing is a very popular leisure activity for local people in Lapland. What is also good about it is the fact that it suits everyone! Rovaniemi is ideal for fishing enthusiasts, as are many great frozen lakes. The ice gets very thick in the winter, and it is safe to stand and even walk on it.
First, we will go ice fishing on a lake in the middle of an Arctic forest. After that, we will take you on a cookout trip, where you will sit around a campfire in the snow, with a menu that includes Lappish pork sausages and salmon. The fishes you catch from ice fishing can go on the grill as well! The whole tour lasts for 4 – 5 hours.
