The best possible 5 days in Rovaniemi! This tour spans the best of the Lappish wilderness and takes you through the pristine outdoors in Rovaniemi. Besides coming close to nature here you will also have an opportunity to experience the local food, diverse culture, and the vast natural heritage of Finnish Lapland. All of these things make for a commendable part of Lappish heritage and you get to see it and experience it all.
During the tour, you’ll have the opportunity to hunt for the Northern Lights every night. The means of hunting Northern Light differs from one location to the other. From a reindeer sled ride to a snowmobile-driven sled to a dedicated Northern Lights photography tour, we have it all planned for you.
Day 1 - Airport pick-up & hotel transfer
From the airport, you will be transferred straight to the NUT safari office in the Rovaniemi city center where you will be provided special adventure gear and receive the latest info about the Northern Lights and the holiday package. Further, you will be transferred to your reserved accommodation. (3* hotel or other hotels on request)
Day 2 - Reindeer Sled Hunting Northern Lights
Hop on the reindeer-driven sled and explore the magical surroundings in Lapland with Northern Lights dancing in the sky. Escape from the city for a night of reindeer culture and Auroras with us! Visit a traditional Finnish reindeer farm about 16 km away from Rovaniemi city center, meet your reindeer, and listen to reindeer stories about their importance in the culture and folklore. You will take the reindeer sleigh into the forest, where you will have the chance to see the Northern Lights overhead. Also, you can warm yourself up with a hot drink!
Day 3 - Sled Ride Hunting Northern Lights
Our guide will take control of the sleigh with a snowmobile through the snowy and impressive landscape, all the way to a magic frozen lake, far away from the residential areas and their light pollution. After arriving there, we will prepare a traditional Lappish BBQ and a Campfire to keep you warm.
We wait for the Northern Lights to appear in comfort by the fire, enjoying a warm blueberry tea and listening to the stories and tales of the Northern Lights.
Day 4 - Northern Lights with the Photography Guide
Get away from the city lights to catch the best possible views of the Auroras. A professional photographer from our company will take you to the best possible Northern Light viewing point from where you can click surreal photos. The professional photographer will assist you with both setting up your camera and taking pictures for you with their own high-quality cameras. Sit around the fire, and enjoy a sausage and hot drinks. Our photographers will help you with settings, composition, and lighting for you to take the best pictures. At the end of the tour, you will be able to keep all the HD pictures taken by our photographers. It’s going to be a one-of-its-kind experience for you.
Day 5 - Airport Transfer, Tour Ends
