You can see the most handsome landmark - Auttiköngäs waterfall - just at the beginning of the route. It has a drop height of nearly 16 meters. Autti River had traditionally been an important trade route and the floating river. Merchants were forced to carry the goods by land Auttiköngäs over on the opposite side of the waterfall to another boat. Timber was floated in the river from the late 1800s to the 1970s.

Auttiköngäs steep rapids cascading over a waterfall floating logs was naturally impossible, and for trees ushered past the rapids along the uittoränniä. Uittoränniä is no longer used, but it is stored as a historical-cultural attraction. Auttiköngäs area was founded in 1955 and now it belongs to the old-growth forests in northern Finland. Wood harvests have never been done there. Pine and spruce forests, which grow on rocky hillsides, are over 200 years old.

A lot of deciduous trees, especially aspen, grow on the edge of the slopes and on the banks of the river, streams of which flow along with the land in different directions.
